Job Summary:
The Product Owner II at ClarisHealth is a key role within the Agile development framework, responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog to ensure that the development team delivers the most valuable features to the end-users. The Product Owner serves as the primary liaison between the stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that the product vision aligns with the business objectives. They will manage special projects as assigned by the Director of Product Operations

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Backlog Management:
  • Define and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, and stakeholder needs.
  • Clearly express and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and requirements.
  • Ensure that the backlog is visible, transparent, and clear to all stakeholders and the development team.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Act as the designated SME for their assigned area of responsibility
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand their needs, and translate them into actionable user stories.

Sprint Planning:

  • Participate in sprint planning meetings to help the development team understand the backlog items.
  • Make decisions on the prioritization of features to be developed in each sprint.
  • Ensure that the team has a clear understanding of the product goals for each sprint.

Product Vision & Strategy:

  • Understanding the product vision and communicating it clearly.
  • Work closely with the product team to understand product strategy.
  • Work with development team to ensure the product is evolving in line with the vision and strategy.

Release Management:

  • Define the release goals and ensure that all stakeholders are aligned with the release plan.
  • Communicate progress to stakeholders.

User Experience & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that the product meets the quality standards and meets acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers and QA teams to validate the product against user needs and acceptance criteria.
  • Gather user feedback post-release to inform future product iterations.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as retrospectives to reflect on and improve processes.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in product management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field or related work experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Product Owner, or similar role in a software development environment.
    Must have A- CSPO Certification.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Must have experience in healthcare and/or payment integrity or other heavily regulated environment.
  • Skills:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
  • Ability to understand and translate technical information into business terms.
